Our aim is to commemorate the achievements of Sconser man John Mackenzie and his internationally renowned climbing companion Norman Collie

Help the group who instigated  the removal of  the hydro poles and the building of the new Gateway to the Cuillin.

Donors of 1kilo or over will have their name on a plaque at the entrance to the site.

New Gateway to the Cuillin opened Summer 2011

 A private donation of £10,000 from the Robert O Curle Charitable Trust has been used to build a gateway to the sculpture site, and mark the entrance to the Cuillin. Local school pupils were involved in the construction of the wall and gateway, and were trained in stone dyke and path construction by qualified instructors. They each received certificates on completion of the work.

The Robertson Trust have recently donated £5000 to assist with training for the next phase of the project
